I felt it was important to share a bit about me. You may be asking yourself how did she end up being a life coach and what was her journey. Although the journey started with a job I disliked, it was much deeper and bigger than that.
I realized one day that I needed to follow my heart in my life, in everything that I did. Not just by saying it but by actually taking steps each day that would help lead me to my meaning. I call it meeting up with your own life.
Well, first and foremost, I am so grateful to have found this passion of mine to share with people. I love being a life coach because it is what is in my heart and what is meant for me to do here on earth. I am in love with it.
You see, I was living a life that maybe everyone else wanted me to live, choosing professions and careers that fit everyone but me, not being able to speak up when I didn’t realize things were not working out for me. I was in a job I didn't care for at all but could not figure out why I stayed.
Was I afraid to quit? What would I do? What would I tell people I do?
More compelling, I couldn’t figure out why I put myself through the suffering. I felt like suffering was a part of life.
Could there be joy in life without suffering?
That is not what society teaches us – or maybe this was my belief. I didn't want to be a quitter and more importantly, I didn’t want people to think I was one. Did I feel like speaking up in my own life would be wrong? But how could it be if it is the truth. See, for me, living the truth was all I wanted. But I was so far away from knowing what I wanted in my heart because I was too busy trying to keep up with being the perfect daughter, wife, and overall person. But no one had set expectations on me but me.
So I went on a journey to understand and rediscover me. I had to meet up with my own life. I knew there were parts of my life moving in the direction of my heart but then there was another part of me that was battling. What was I battling? I was trying to empower myself but didn’t know how. Although I knew following my heart would be the right thing but I didn’t know how to do it. I had lost a HUGE part of me and I was so unfamiliar with myself.
Through my journey I had to become familiar with me. At times I didn’t know what I felt about anything. In order for me to know what I wanted in life, I had to figure out what made me feel good. Because when you do things that make you feel good, you are in touch with your body.
Did you know that any suffering from the body is a lie?
Through coaching, we will go through a series of exercises and tools. All of which will guide and help move you to a joyful life and bring you closer to finding and living your own North Star.
You will hear me talk a lot about the North Star. Your North Star is your own star in the sky that represents living a life that works for you to bring you either joy, happiness, peace and harmony.
I work with Emotional components that lead people to choose lives without suffering. (Dissolve negative and limiting thoughts/beliefs which cause negative feelings which cause negative actions in your life.) What part of your life may be suffering? What do you want to be? Do you feel unbalanced? Indecisive on what to do next in your life? Do you feel stuck in your life? Don’t know how to articulate what you want?
I have found my passion and I promised myself that once I figured out the way, I would share it with others.
So, here I am. Feeling exhilarated every day like a kid riding a bike, because of my feelings of tranquility and being alive. More importantly, I am in my true path for my life.
Welcome to life coaching! I am grateful you have allowed me this opportunity to share my journey about how I was coached and how I became a life coach.
